Here's a large insect I snapped today. The grasshopper was photographed while it was resting near the refrigerator in the garage.
Taken with my iPhone 4 and cropped. No other enhancements were applied.------------

Metallic grasshopper?
Let the games of chance begin that is. We're getting ready to play Bingo at Fantasy Springs in Coachella. We did some Geocaching before we got here and picked up a couple we couldn't find when we were in area in early February. Good day so far. I'm going to try the all electronic game this time. I can play up to 66 Bingo cards at the same time. Hope we win.

New iMacs Released
Holy iMac, Batman! Apple upgraded the iMac line with all-new quad-core processors, advanced graphics, the new Thunderbolt I/Otechnology, and FaceTime HD camera to name a few features touted by Apple itself. The two configurations, 21.5 inch and 27 inch models can be purchased "off the shelf" or you can build to order. And all wireless; keyboard, Magic Mouse, and/or Magic Trackpad. Way cool.
Here's a good summary of all the new features from the online Apple Store: http://tinyurl.com/6gucox2
Today the White House released the “long form” of President Obama’s birth certificate form Hawaii. Mind you, the official certificate of live birth had been available since before Obama took office more than 2 years ago. The entire Republican Party should be ashamed. Yes, all of them. Not one of the Republican “leaders” had enough spine to say flat out that the President was an American. The “leaders” let this nonsense go off for too long. “I take the President at his word.” Those are weasel words from “leaders.”
Just as culpable for this day of shame is the media outlets in this country. The first black President has had to show his papers. Again. We should be ashamed. Anyone who claims the title of journalist should be ashamed for giving time to this colossal non-issue.And that clown Trump. He took the credit today: “I did something that no one else was able to do.” As big a buffoon and media whore as he is, I want Trump to run for President. That is the face of today’s Republicans. So “birthers,” shut the hell up. And what about the 12 Republicans that have introduced a “birther bill” in the House? “Leader” John Boner should require them to withdraw the bill. And withdraw from the Republican Party. The Speaker's office released this statement today: "This has long been a settled issue. The Speaker's focus is on cutting spending, lowering gas prices, and creating American jobs.' By the way, since Republicans took control of the House, and despite their promise to focus on jobs, they’ve not created a single new American job. Nada. Zip. Squat. Now let’s work on jobs.
Shameful day for America

How Much Did You Pay for War This Year?
Slide show: As a new miniseries riles critics, we look at the Camelot stories that are worth your time
BY MATT ZOLLER SEITZ
The Kennedy films you should actually see | Slide Show - Salon.com http://bit.ly/ezYTjj
The premiere of the new miniseries "The Kennedys" on the ReelzChannel marks a milestone: It is the one zillionth film about America's most durable political dynasty. OK, not "officially" -- as is sometimes the case, we exaggerate for effect. But it sure feels like another snowflake in an endless blizzard, doesn't it? Not a month goes by that you don't stumble across a new feature film, TV series, documentary, play, book or other bit of pop culture that's obsessed with the Kennedy clan: a prestige project or a cynical cash-in, a valentine or a smear job. You can't get away from them even if you want to -- and a lot of people don't want to, otherwise there wouldn't be so many Kennedy projects. This slide show collects 15 of the most essential, fascinating and bizarre Kennedy-related films from a half-century's worth of cinema and television. Our list includes documentaries, docudramas, an action film, a satirical thriller, and a few movies in which JFK and RFK aren't so much characters as ghostly spirits haunting the imaginations of the living. The most important title on the list is the shortest. The Kennedy films you should actually see | Slide Show - Salon.com http://bit.ly/ezYTjjThe Kennedy films you should actually see
