Another earthquake this evening in Borrego Springs "shook us up" while we were watching the movie "An Education." This time there was some quick shaking followed by gentle rolling. The floor lamp was rocking and the ceiling fan was swaying, neither very violently. The earthquake lasted for about 10 to 15 seconds. We haven't seen any evidence of damage to our house.
The epicenter of this 5.9 magnitude quake (moderate) was in Ocotillo, about 68 miles via road (not as the crow flies) from us and about 25 miles west of El Centro.
